It's Official: Jennifer Lopez is Done with 'American Idol,' She Now Joins Steven Tyler in Leaving

After two years on American Idol, Jennifer Lopez is following in the footsteps of her recent Idol judge partner Steven Tyler, as both will exit stage left.



She cleared up any rumors when she phoned into Ryan Seacrest's radio show recently and said:




“I honestly feel like the time has come. I know I have to get back to doing the other things I do.”


Steven's reason for leaving Idol was to get back to performing as lead singer for Aerosmith. J.Lo used a similar story and said she has to focus on other things in her career like movies, music, etc. There were also rumors that the shows longest judge, Randy Jackson, may also leave.


Who will be the new judges now? Rumor has it that Mariah Carey is being considered. Stay tuned!
