Hugh Hefner's Death Hoax

A rumor started circulating the web yesterday that the Playboy king himself, Hugh Hefner died. People are still tweeting their rest in peace messages to Hef but he is alive and well.

His name became a trending topic on Twitter with more people trying to clear up the rumor that he wasn't dead. The 85-year-old Playboy founder even tweeted a message himself to clear up the rumors:

"The rumors of my death are, as Mark Twain observed in a similar situation, greatly exaggerated. I'm very much alive & kicking."

He then added how happy he was with a playboy bunny still on his side:

"I'm lying in bed next to Shera with a big smile on my face, reading tweets about my unexpected demise."

Hef's former fiance Crystal Harris cancelled their planned wedding last month and Hef told fans not to worry about rumors of his death.

He also told followers he had spent some time watching a forthcoming documentary about his planned marriage to Harris which Lifetime has planned called Hef's Runaway Bride. Hef tweeted:

"The guys & I watched an early edit of 'Hef's Runaway Bride' tonight. The fans are going to love it."

Harris was famously unveiled as 'Mrs Hefner' on the cover of Playboy, just days before she made the decision to cancel the nuptials. Just weeks after her surprising break-up with Hef, Crystal reportedly was hitting on guys at a nightclub in Las Vegas.

All in all it seems like Hef has moved on as well, he's happy and most importantly he's still alive.
