Reality Star 'Snooki' Gets Paid $32K to Appear at Rutgers

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi from MTV's Jersey Shore has been pretty busy lately and getting paid in the meantime.

She was recently apart of Wrestlemania and pinned wrestler, Michelle McCool for her first ever WWE victory, partnering up with the famous diva Trish Stratus.

Snooki also made an appearance at Rutgers-New Brunswick Livingston Campus last week and was paid $32,000 to show up. She spoke at two seperate events and many students stood in line for hours just to see her.

Wow all you need to do is drink, act crazy and hook up with guys on a reality show and then bam you're famous.

Here's the kicker though it has recently been reported that the money used to pay Snooki came from student programming money, collected from student fees. This is money taken out of student tuition.

As a recent Rutgers graduate I have to say tuition money should not be used to pay for a reality star. And I don't know how current students feel about this but tuition is raised every year, cuts are made and you want to waste $32,000 on something like that when the money could be used for something much more important. I just don't get it.

When asked her inspiration in life, Snooki responded “Being tan. When you’re tan, you feel better about yourself.” Are you kidding me? That's where the money is going?

Snooki who has over a million Twitter followers also released her new book entitled A Shore Thing was named a New York Times Best Selling Author (don't even get me started on that).

It has also now been confirmed that her and her buddy Jwoww from Jersey Shore just recently got their spin-off show approved by MTV.

It probably sounds like I'm hating on the girl but hey more power to her for the way she achieved fame.

I actually like watching the show Jersey Shore, it's entertaining. But ever since the first season Snooki has been my least favorite character and I know I wouldn't wait in line for hours just to see her fist pump and talk some crap.

Universities need to use student tuition money more wisely, that's all I'm saying.
